Santa Ana, CA (October 4, 2021) - Today Supervisor Doug Chaffee announced he is extending the nomination period for the Third Annual Orange County Fourth District Kindness Awards until October 15, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. The Fourth District Kindness Awards will honor individuals who have displayed exceptional kindness or community service in the Fourth Supervisorial District Cities on November 13, 2021, which is observed internationally as World Kindness Day.

Kindness is often defined as doing something to help another person without the expectation of receiving anything in return.

If you know anyone that works, lives, serves, and/or volunteers in the cities of Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, or Placentia who have displayed exceptional kindness or community service, please nominate them for a Kindness Award. There will be one award recipient from each City. Please note elected officials and organizations will not be eligible to be nominated for the Fourth District Kindness Award. Nominations will be accepted until October 1, 2021.

How to Nominate an Individual for a Kindness Award:

Step 1: Confirm the Address

Before sending in the nomination, please confirm that the nominee qualifies for the Fourth District Kindness Award by visiting the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ website and entering the address of where the nominee works, lives, serves, and/or volunteers.

If the address is within the Fourth District, you will see “4th Supervisorial District -> Doug Chaffee” listed under the right-hand “Elected Officials” column.
